Intelligent Automation has Changed Patient Support. Human Engagement Still Defines It.

As patient support programs become increasingly automated, many biopharmaceutical manufacturers are discovering that efficiency alone does not improve the patient experience.

Delayed therapy starts and adherence challenges are often driven by complex behavioral, financial, clinical, and whole-person factors that extend beyond the medication itself. These multidimensional needs are not fully addressed through digital workflows alone. For appropriate products and patient populations, licensed nurses bring the critical thinking and clinical judgment required to assess these factors in real time, tailor support to the individual patient, and deliver high-quality, personalized interventions that support successful therapy initiation and sustained adherence.

In this webinar, the Valeris team will examine the growing role of clinically integrated support models in modern patient engagement strategies and discuss why nurses are increasingly critical within AI-enabled patient support programs.

This session will explore how intelligent technology can identify patterns, surface intervention opportunities and streamline operational workflows, while clinically trained teams apply behavioral understanding and therapeutic experience to support the full complexity of the patient experience across access, affordability, therapy initiation and adherence.

Attendees will hear practical examples of how biopharmaceutical manufacturers are combining behavioral insight, clinical engagement, and intelligent automation to create more responsive support models designed around the realities of patient care, not just process efficiency.

Topics will include:

  • The evolving role of Nurses in specialty patient engagement
  • How AI and intelligent workflows can support earlier, more personalized interventions
  • Addressing emotional, behavioral, financial and clinical barriers across the patient journey
  • Building scalable support models that balance automation with meaningful human engagement
